Market Street Sees New Development

In 2012 there was the lowest level of new condos to hit the market in almost 20 years.  Now we are finally seeing new developments starting again, and many of these projects are on Market Street.

These projects include ICON at 2299 Market Street, 2001 Market Street, Linea at 1998 Market Street, and 2200 Market Street.  Of these projects, ICON at 2299 Market Street will be the first to hit the market.

ICON

ICON is an iconic glass and aluminum building composed of 18 units with the finest materials including floor-to-ceiling windows, top-of-the-line European appliances, and white oak hardwood floors.  This building has a distinctive architectural style which is consistently maintained in every unit and a courtyard with the feel of a zen garden will be easily maintained and enjoyed by all residents.

 2001 Market  Street

2001 Market Street is a highly anticipated mixed use development which will house the city’s newest Whole Foods.  The site includes approximately 80 residential units with 2 bedrooms or more.  This site is well served by Muni and BART and will have a LEED certification.  The big question is when the developer will determine whether it will sell as condos or become a rental building
.

 Linea @ 1998 Market Street

Linea at 1998 Market Street is a high profile corner building at Buchanan Street.  This will be the site of 115 new condos with an anticipated sales release in the summer of 2013.  This project will include 1 bedroom units and deluxe penthouses.

 2200 Market Street

2200 Market Street also is anticipated to begin sales this summer.  This project is made up of 22 new condos.  This five story building will also include 2 ground floor commercial spaces.  With a Duboce Triangle neighborhood location and only a handful of units, this building will make quite a splash.
